30 Seconds to Mars at The Avalon Theatre, Salt Lake City, 28th May 2006

You probably remember Jared Leto being beaten to a pulp in Fight Club, as Colin Farrell's tragic sidekick in Alexander and being downright nasty in Panic Room, as he is mostly known for his successful acting career. However, music fans will also know him as a rock star, and vocalist with 30 Seconds to Mars, a band he formed along with his songwriting partner and older brother Shannon Leto who plays the drums. I saw the band perform in Salt Lake City and the show was fantastic. Jared is an all-round great entertainer and works the crowd well. Last year they released second album A Beautiful Lie, which reached greater heights than the first record which they made back in 2002. After the show, the guys took photos with fans (a few who travelled all the way from Tokyo to follow the tour!) and signed copies of their CDs.
